Find Help, Find Hope!

Abby Grasso, M.S.W., Executive Director

Abby, a clinical social worker, believes in people first and has devoted her professional life to serving people living with mental illnesses. In October of 2016, Abby came to NAMI Montgomery County with energy and expertise to assume the leadership role as Executive Director of NAMI Montgomery County PA Affiliate. In the almost 20 years preceding her appointment as Executive Director, Abby worked with individuals and families affected by mental illness as the Clinical Supervisor of a youth shelter, a mobile therapist, a social worker/ assessor at an inpatient hospital, and the Director of Business Development for an inpatient hospital.

Abby feels with certainty that we are all affected, whether directly or indirectly, by mental illness and that need to properly educate and support our communities to strengthen programs, treatment, and resources.  Abby’s passions include seeing that our communities are equipped to support those in need of mental health support, to help others identify the very best in themselves,  to support each individual in their own recovery, and to end the crippling stigma that attaches to those living with mental illness and their families.

With her family and two pups, Abby lives in Montgomery County and believes that her life experiences, both personally and professionally, have led to her NAMI of PA Montgomery County to help others throught the mission of NAMI and strengthen our communities.
