Art Show Celebrates Self Expression of Mont Co Youth

On Wednesday night, April 10th 2019, the Montgomery County – Norristown Public Library Community Room was transformed into an art exhibit promoting Self-Expression for Montgomery County Youth.  The exhibit, hosted by NAMI Montgomery County PA and Montgomery County MYLIFE, exhibited over 100 pieces of art in various mediums including but not limited to drawings, sketches, watercolor paintings, oil paintings, clay, jewelry and photography.

Over the last six months, MYLIFE and NAMI Montgomery County PA have worked closely to promote workshops and to inspire events for teens to produce art.

The art show gave hope to youth, families, individuals, community, and providers impacted by mental illness, substance use, and other life challenges.  The event celebrated the creativity, courage, and emotion found in art and the beauty of self-expression.  We are so thankful to all those who attended and supported our amazing Montgomery County Youth – it was a night to remember.
